I often go to Grand Isle, Louisiana and rent a place for a week or so. Sitting on the deck looking out to the sea you can literally see dozens of rigs just a mile or so off shore. Let me tell you the fishing is great and more than great around these rigs. They help to provide cover for the smaller fish which means the larger ones are all around looking for a meal. Also during the shrimping season there are hundreds of boats going back and forth with their nets and the catches are great even after the biggest oil spill in the nations history. Nature recovers quickly despite what the radical environmentalist would have you believe. And yet those same folks are preventing us to tap billions of barrels of crude that lie in these waters, not to mention all that is below the Rockies and in Alaska. If we are ever able to break free of middle east oil we must drill--drill--drill!
